The green tyre is placed in a tyre press, which inflates the internal tyre bladder, causing the green tyre to push against the mould. The combination of pressure against the mould and strong heat leads the rubber to conform to the mould, resulting in the tread and sidewall lettering. The tyre curing press and its components are subjected to extreme heat and pressure during the tyre curing process.
