Velvet Pencil Making Machine

A velvet pencil making machine produces special pencils with a “velvet” flocked surface (often used for gift pencils or crafts). It automates the process of cutting pencil rods, applying adhesive, and electrostatically flocking (depositing) short fiber on the pencil surface to create a soft, velvet-like finish. Typically, an unflocked pencil (wood or plastic core with lead) is coated with glue and then passed under a flocking station which deposits fibers all over, making a velvet-textured pencil.

Conveyors and rollers use rubber or nylon. Because production involves glue and fibers, non-wetting surfaces and easy-to-clean designs are important. Durability is moderate (velvet pencils are low-stress products), but precision in glue application and flock deposition requires stable components.
