Magnetic Drum Separator

A Magnetic Drum Separator is a specialized industrial equipment designed to efficiently separate and remove magnetic materials from non-magnetic substances. It consists of a stationary, cylindrical drum made of stainless steel or other magnetic materials. The drum is strategically placed in a conveyor or vibrating feeder system, allowing the material to pass over or through the drum.

Inside the drum, powerful magnets generate a high-intensity magnetic field. As the material flows over the drum's surface or passes through it, ferrous or magnetically susceptible particles are attracted and captured by the magnetic field. These particles adhere to the drum's surface, while non-magnetic particles continue along their intended path.

The captured ferrous materials can be later discharged away from the drum, usually by stopping its rotation or using a separate mechanism. This separation process helps to purify products, protect downstream equipment from damage, and recover valuable ferrous materials in recycling operations.
